Rudy Norman is a writer, multimedia developer and a regular guy from Burlington, Newfoundland and Labrador where he was raised and still resides with his current wife, Natasha.
While Rudy was raised and lived in Burlington nearly all of his life, he was actually born in Corner Brook, Newfoundland because, as he puts it, that was the closest hospital capable of handling the complications surrounding his entrance into the world at the time. Rudy says despite that though, he still enjoys Corner Brook and they shouldn’t get the blame for anything he’s done since that day.
One of Rudy’s passions includes the future potential of rural Newfoundland and Labrador and the people in it, which is why he plays an active role in a number of economic development and community based organizations both in his hometown, as well as in the region as a whole.
Rudy has been a part of the Majumder Manor project since Shaun asked him to come on board and offer some insight. The jury is still out on whether Shaun wishes he could take that one back. Because since then, Rudy has offered countless ideas and opinions on key elements of the process that often times were poised to affect the community he loves, and the people in it.
Rudy’s main message is that the project needs to be done in such a way that is true and beneficial to everyone involved, and is done for the betterment of the community and the people it set out to help.
When not working or volunteering, Rudy enjoys music, travel, speaking to audiences about everything and anything they’ll listen to, and McDonald’s McNuggets. One of his great disappointments is that “The West Wing” isn’t still on TV.
